In 2013, Alison’s son, Josh had a musical career as grime artist Depzman that had just taken off, with a number one album, and tours of the UK and Europe. In September that year he was murdered in a knife attack outside a night club in Birmingham. He was only 18 years old.

Alison’s workshop at the HeadStart Conference 2017 shares her story, and how she has taken tragic events and used them to support and educate young people in the risk of carrying a knife.
