End Youth Homelessness
In the UK each year, 83,000 young people find themselves homeless. End Youth Homelessness is a UK wide movement, bringing together local charities to tackle youth homelessness on a national scale. They work in three main areas; prevention of homelessness, ensuring homeless people have somewhere to live, and supporting young homeless people into employment.
Violence, abuse, gangs, drugs, and problems with mental health – young people often become homeless because it’s safer to leave home than to stay. Tens of thousands of young people ask for help with homelessness every year, but there is a solution. CentrePoint work nationally to promote prevention of homelessness, provide housing, education and health support for young people who find themselves without a home.
Crisis are a national charity for homeless people. They help people directly out of homelessness and campaign for the changes needed to solve it all together. The website has a dedicated ‘get help’ page for people who need help right now whether it’s help with housing or information on what to do if you are worried about someone.
