Resilience Guide for Parents and Teachers

This resource is offered from a well known organisation. Provides advice and tips to parents and teachers on how they can foster resiliency in the children they care for. The guide is concise and clearly written. The sections include: Introduction; Top 10 tips to building resilience; 4 age specific sections- resilience in preschool children, elementary School children, middle school aged children and high school aged children; and finally a ‘Journey to resilience’ section which encourages care-givers to know the individual child. This last section reminds the care-giver that advice given on the website is not a substitute for treatment provided by a mental-health professional.

This is a great resource for parents and teachers on how to develop resilience within young people. This is informative and the language used is easy to understand.
