Kayleigh’s Love Story is a film about aspects of the last 13 days of the life of 15 year old Kayleigh Haywood. If shown in the cinema, this video would have a 15 rating so please watch with caution. Stop and think before you meet someone online, you don’t always know who you are talking to.
On the 31st of October 2015, 15 year old Kayleigh Harwood received a Facebook message from a man she had never met. 15 days later, she was sexually assaulted, murdered and her body was dumped in the woods. Kayleigh’s family supported the making of this video to stop other young people from going through the same thing. If you don’t know who you’re talking to, don’t talk to them.
The content for the video is a bit graphic but sometimes this is the only way to get through to young people. It shows the real danger that can come from talking to strangers online. There is many warnings throughout the video and description that this should not be watched by people younger than 15 years of age, so please pay attention to these warnings.
