I’m a Myth – An Asexuality Poem

Abbie Wells brings us a poem about how people consider asexuality a myth and how she has found where she belongs in the asexual community. This video encompasses one young girls journey of discovery of her asexuality. It shows the difficulties she has faced before finding her place.

This short and sweet poem is a great way to learn about other people’s experiences of asexuality and perhaps discover your own place in the world if you feel a bit left out.

This poem is a great exploration into asexuality, and how it can affect young people who are part of this sexuality that doesn’t get as much thought and representation as other members of the LGBT community. It’s a nice video that young people could in fact sent to their parents or friends as a way to let them know that they are asexual. This video would definitely be a positive resource to have on the portal.
