Healthy and Unhealthy Relationships

Relationships can be confusing. Especially if you really like someone but they do things you’re not comfortable with. So think about what feels right for you and remember – always listen to yourself. On this page you can find information about understanding a confusing relationship, being pressured into sex, what to do if you feel unsafe and worried about someone’s relationship.

If you are worried about your relationship or a friends relationship, talk to a trusted adult like a parent or teacher. If you feel like you can’t talk to adults around you then you can always talk to Childline either through their freephone number or their online one-to-one chat service.

The information on this webpage is produced by Childline and is therefore of high quality. The way the information is laid out means that you are not just looking at a wall of text. The links mean you can jump to the relevant parts of the webpage. I think that it is important for young people to learn about the difference between health and unhealthy relationships.
