Beat: The UK’s Eating Disorder Charity
Beat is the leading charity to give advice and help for people who are battling an eating disorder or recovering from an eating disorder. It is also a useful charity for those looking to support someone they know through an eating disorder or support them through their recovery journey. It is also useful for people who may be concerned about a student within school or even an employee.
The website for beat contains a variety of information on numerous topics. These topics include information about multiple eating disorders such as binge eating disorder, pica, anorexia and bulimia, information about help and treatment and support services including helplines and message boards.
This charity is a much needed organisation in the world. Most young people are concerned with their body image and this leads to disordered eating and concerning patterns of behaviour. If this is noticed, then young people may turn to beat for help and advice. The quality of their advice is the great and it is consistently reviewed and updated with new information as and when it becomes available.
